A wonderfully classic and beautiful engagement ring. The perfect size to sit across your finger and make a statement. The setting is not too high and bulky, the diamonds sit perfectly around the central sapphire with a small baguette diamond on either side, seamlessly blending the stones with the band. It is a classic Princess Diana style engagement ring! The stones are set within white gold claws. The Sapphire has a very small inclusion just about visible to the eye in certain lights. It is the most incredible blue with some teal flashes.
I believe it was hallmarked in 1991, it doesn't say which assay office but there is a mark that means it was hallmarked at Sheffield but that it was imported gold. So I believe it is older than this and originally came from another country! There is also a tiny bit of engraving on the inside of the ring, I think this adds to the character and history of the ring but I can sand this out upon request.
